The Green Spark
Filed under videosAug 30Informative video filmed at the International Herbal Symposium held every two years at Wheaton College in Norton Massachusetts. The show begins with opening ceremonies. Music from Rising Appalachia blends harmoniously with footage of a soothing Labyrinth created for the event by Jude Christian, placed just outside the chapel. This extraordinary event is highlighted with interviews from Rosemary Gladstar, Susun Weed,Paul Strauss and Reuven Fein. A must see for every plant lover.

“It’s all in a day, Lily!”
Filed under videosJun 26This was another great day in the evolution of the Emily’s Garden television series but of course, not without encountering yet another sound problem! The camera was set for outside sound making much of the video uncomfortable to hear. I’m happy to report, soothing music was added as a solution to the unexpected dilemma.
Mike has been propagating the versatile daylily for years as you can comfortably view (thank god!) He was gracious enough to name one of his hybrids “Emily’s Garden”, after yours truly…Thank you very much! Despite the obvious technical difficulties, the video proves to be very informative in the culture, propagating process and uses of the age old flower.

April Fools!
Filed under videosFeb 22Developing your own television series is a lot of hard work, but as some would say, “It’s all in what you make of it,” and “If you’re not having fun, you shouldn’t be doing it.” That being said and done, I have to admit, I’m particularly fond of this episode showcasing Emily’s Garden bloopers coupled with fun facts about April Fools Day. A show well worth watching for a good old fashioned belly laugh and an inside look on scenes in action as the series continues to progress.
